The upcoming solar eclipse is a BIG deal for those in the path of totality. That’s ME! Am I excited? YES! I have seen several partial eclipses in my lifetime, but to experience 4+ minutes of totality is exciting for me. I am that girl who loves looking at the stars, spotting where the planets are, staring at the moon, and noticing the suns rays cascading across the land.
Now, really quick, just in case you weren’t sure: a solar eclipse is an alignment between the sun, moon, and earth with the moon passing directly between the two. Totality is when all three are perfectly aligned that the moon blocks out the sun completely.
With this eclipse, I started to wonder about everyone else in the world. I know about the physical effects of an eclipse, especially in viewing the event itself, but do others feel an eclipse, even if they don’t see it for themselves? And in addition, are there energetic or spiritual aspects felt globally?
I dove into learning more. I found a lot of information, but here are just 5 things that everyone can feel during a solar eclipse:
1. A solar eclipse can create an increased gravitational pull around the world. This may cause subtle effects in ocean tides. Nothing dynamic but you may see a difference if you live near an ocean. (Similarly with lunar eclipses as well.)
2. The energetic or spiritual side of an eclipse may intensify the need for change, growth, renewal, transformation, in however that looks for an individual.
3. A solar eclipse is often considered a time of increased spiritual energy. This energy may bring heightened intuition.
4. A solar eclipse's energy may be felt around the world, weeks before and after the actual totality.
5. Eclipses invite us to recognize the connection of life, divine togetherness, and the connections between the celestial bodies. YES!
So, wherever you are, a solar eclipse can create shifts, growth, and recognition for all who choose to accept, see, or witness the amazing energy and flow of our Universe. Woohoo!
